Power of Sound

In the distance, I hear the sound of the ferry’s horn and all I can think is a lone wolf howling into the air. But maybe, it isn’t a lone wolf, but at the mercy of a single tail’s end whipping through the air and shredding it open as it connects to the wolf’s fur and flesh, opening the flesh as the air was torn asunder. I love the power of sound. Sound makes the other senses fill in the gaps and what our mind can create can be as powerful as reality. The difference is when we must fill in the story, our entire being becomes ensared and forced to participate so the sound becomes us, our thoughts, our images.
