LGBT Underground Railroad.

I attended an incredible event Saturday night, my first same-sex wedding. It also happened to be the couple’s 16th anniversary of falling in love. They waited until it was legal in their state which was their home and where their friends were, not wanting to travel out of state. This has gotten me thinking about DOMA. With the heinous act, the couple is imprisoned in this state. The right to inter-state travel and being recognized as a full citizen in other states doesn’t work for them. Once out of the state lines, the marriage evaporates and they are at the whim of local municipalities. Are we going to have to build an underground railroad so people can travel and still remain married?
